I was looking through Priyasha’s blog and found this book tag, the 20 questions tag. I’ve never done a tag (probably because I’m so new to this) but I’ve always wanted to, so when she tagged her readers I thought it was the perfect opportunity for me to get to do one! Anyways, she’s amazing and you have to check out her blog (Like you haven’t already!). You can find her blog post here: Priyasha’s blogpost 🌸 So, let’s get right to it!
1. How many books is too many in a series?
I don’t really think there can be enough books in a series, as long as the books are great! But I must say that I feel intimidated when considering starting a series with more than five books in it. Maybe because I feel so behind. But if I start as the books are being published and I read them as they’re being published it isn’t bad at all (except for the wait!!).
2. How do you feel about cliffhangers?
I really enjoy a good cliffhanger because it makes me excited for the next book!
3. Hardback or Paperback?
Esthetically I prefer hardbacks, but the paperback is so much easier to bring places (size), hold (weight) and read (floppiness).
4. Favorite book?
Are you kidding me? How can I answer that?? I guess my love for reading really started when I read twilight but I’ve read so many equally amazing books since then!! I’ll leave it at that😁
5. Least Favorite book?
Beach Blondes by Katherine Applegate.
6. Love Triangles, yes or no?
Yes, but in moderation.. I mean the main triangle in Twilight lasted for a book too long for my taste. Although it didn’t ruin the books for me.
7. The most recent book you couldn’t finish?
I never DNF. That’s why I had no problem answering number 5🙈 I fought my way through 721 pages.. 721!! I feel like I can’t judge a book if I don’t finish it.
8. A book you’re currently reading?
I’m currently reading three books 😃🤪😅 I’m reading “P.S. I like you” by Kasie West, “The gentleman’s guide to vice and virtue” by Mackenzi Lee and “Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire” by J.K. Rowling
9. The last book you recommended to someone?
I guess it must have been “Restore me” by Tahereh Mafi or just the Shatter me series in general. It’s SO good!
10. The oldest book you’ve read?
I read the Greek comedy play “The Clouds” written by Aristophanes which had its first performance at 423 BC. But I guess that doesn’t really count. So the oldest book must be “Wuthering Heights” by Emily Brönte published in 1847 under the pseudonym Ellis Bell. 📜
11. Newest book you’ve read?
“Turtles all the way down” by John Green🐢🐢
12. Favorite Author?
If I have to choose only one I think it’ll have to be Colleen Hoover. She always comes up with the best and very original storylines.
13. Buying books or borrowing books?
I prefer having all the books. ALL the books. But I’m not against borrowing from a friend and then buying it later if I absolutely loved it and have to have it on my bookshelf💕
14. A book you dislike that everyone seems to love?
“Allegiant” by Veronica Roth. But I do think that either you hate it or you love it. And I just thought it was a bad ending to a great series. And it’s probably not because of the reason you think.. it’s actually not because a specific someone dies in the end, but some other reason I can’t tell you right now (don’t want to spoil it for anyone!!)
15. Bookmarks or dog ears?
Bookmarks. I actually used to hate getting dog ears or marks on the spine of my books, but I stopped caring because it was a hassle to read without hardly opening the book😂 And also I realized there is a certain beauty about books that have been read and reread 😊
16. A book you can always re-read?
I’m not big in re-reading, but I have re-read “Twilight” and the whole “Fifty shades of Grey” series. Don’t judge!
17. Can you read while listening to music?
Yes, I can. Not when reading anything on a curriculum, cause I will have to focus 100% to actually process what I’m reading. But while reading a novel when flying for instance, I need to block out the noise! BUT, I can sit in a room with a lot of noise around me and manage to concentrate…
18. One POV or multiple POVs? (POV = point of view)
Any really, as long as the author is good at separating the POVs. I often find I have to check back and see “who’s POV was this again?”.
19. Do you read a book in one sitting or over multiple days?
I often read a book in one sitting, but only on the weekend or when on holiday (and if it’s impossible to put down!) I don’t have time for that during the week so I usually have to read a little bit every day 📖
20. A book you’ve read because of thecover?
“Confess” by Colleen Hoover. That cover is GORGEOUS!! I mean, lookit! LOOKIT!! LOOK HOW BEAUTIFUL😍 But I did know that I liked the author and so I wasn’t too scared that I wouldn’t like it 😁
So, I’m done! 20 bookish questions. This was fun😁 Maybe I’ll do another tag soon! I want to thank Priyasha again for tagging me. And if you haven’t answered “the 20 questions tag” yet, TAG, you’re it!
Thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day! Feel free to leave a comment😃 If you want more bookish stuff from me, I’m also instagramming on Mundaneblog 📖📚📸
