I finished the break down by B A Paris and I have to tell you it’s the best psychological thriller I’ve read ever!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Yes I know I haven’t read that many in this genre, but I absolutely loved it!!
The description on the back reads:
“It all started that night in the woods.
Cass Anderson didn’t stop to help the woman in the car and now she’s dead.
Ever since, silent calls have been plaguing Cass and she’s sure someone is watching her.
Consumed by guilt, she’s also starting to forget things. Whether she took her pills, what her house alarm code is, and if the knife in the kitchen really had blood on it.
If you can’t trust yourself, who can you trust?”
This book had me gripped from the beginning and all the way through to the end. I was engrossed and captivated by the story the entire time. It was so thrilling and entertaining I really didn’t want to put it down!! I had to sit until 1 in the morning just so that I could finish it – it was that exciting. I couldn’t go to bed without reading the ending and knowing!📖 I just had to know!! Isn’t that just a great feeling??
The writer makes you feel anxious because of how anxious Cass gets by the whole ordeal. She feels guilty about the dead woman in the car, and then to add on top of it the silent calls are freaking her out (which I think they would anyone!) and she’s started to forget things and thinks she’s absolutely lost her mind.
The plot was great, and the plot-twist towards the end makes for an unexpected ending that gave me chills all over. The characters were great and by the end I felt like I knew the MC which is always a plus.
I didn’t know who the killer were, and believe me I made a lot of guesses along the way! Only one of the people I suspected turned up to be shady (to say the least). The whole thing was a mystery to me🙈 Pun intended. Because I’m totally lame.
My score: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommended!!
Trigger warning: Death, anxiety, dementia, psychological issues. If you’ve read it and can think of any more feel free to tell me in the comments😁
Ps, this is my whole crime collection🙈 It’s not much to talk about but I believe it will be growing from now on!!
Have you read it? And if so, what did you think?? If you have any recommendations of psychological thrillers, I’m all ears😁
